“Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” – Isaiah 64:8 (NIV)
“It is not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD Almighty.”-Zechariah 4:6 (NIV)
Be encouraged: This song that we sing (our lives) isn’t even ours. It’s God’s symphony and we are the instruments he uses to play out his glorious masterpiece. We are instruments the Holy Spirit plays when needed in various situations here on Earth. Our role is to keep our instrument tuned and available to be played. How do we do this? We stay tuned by connecting with God through studying his word every morning and night. This allows the living waters of the Holy Spirit to not only speak God’s heart and will to us but it gives access for the Holy Spirit to flow through our instruments whenever and wherever needed. We stay tuned by honoring God with praise and a lifestyle of worship, daily. A lifestyle of worship means: we are meditating all day on the word we received in our morning devotional time; we are putting into practice the biblical principals we have learned through our daily study of the word; and we are praying to and praising the Lord throughout the day. We stay tuned by having a heart posture of availability to be used for God’s purposes and not our own. We follow the prompts of the most high and GO when he speaks his purposes into our lives. We run into these seasons of activation with faith, trusting he will never lead us to something he will not equip us to handle. The Holy Spirit is the musician that plays all of our intricate notes masterfully because God the father is the craftsman, the one that created our unique instrument. All we have to do is be disciplined to keep in tune with his will; that his power may be activated whenever and wherever needed. It’s not about us, it’s about the Glory of God being manifested in and through us, that the kingdom of heaven may be bound through the seeds we sow here on Earth.
